Here's a list of 10 home maintenance projects to tackle during the spring and summer!

Landscaping - This is the first impression of your whole property. Getting your lawn and garden looking great is very important. Take time to pull the weeds, replace any dead plants, and trim down any overgrowth. You could even add a little color to really make the landscaping pop!

Gutters - Remove leaves and debris from the gutters, check for leaks, and ensure the roof is free of debris.

Roof - Inspect for any loose, damaged, or missing shingles. Look for any holes or pooling water. Brush down any piles of debris that may have gathered.

Decks, Porches, Balconies - Look for signs of wear and tear and see if any areas need weather treatment or staining. Also, make sure that the railings are strong enough to support the deck's weight.

Windows & Screens - Clean windows inside and out. Ensure all windows open and close correctly, and lubricate any window tracks that need it. Check the screens for holes, too.  

Siding - To prevent mold from forming, consider a power wash of any vinyl siding. If you have wood siding, inspect areas that may need repair or paint touch-ups.

Sprinklers - Check all of your valves. Fix or replace any that are leaking.

Hot Water Heater - Look at the circulating pump and motor and ensure it's functioning correctly. Consider hiring a professional if you're unsure what these items are. 

Bathrooms - Look at all caulking at the base of sinks and bathtubs. If it's breaking down, remove it and recaulk the necessary areas. A working bathroom is good for everyone in your house. 

Foundation - Check the walls, floors, and concrete for signs of wear and damage. If necessary, call a professional.
