The King Holiday Celebration Parade is an annual event that honors the memory of Martin Luther King, Jr. The event begins at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, January 16, 2023, from the junction of NW 5th Avenue and Sistrunk Boulevard. The festivities following the parade will include a multicultural festival in Carter Park at the parade’s end, sponsored by the Dr.Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration committee.
United Day Neighborhood Cleanup
Join others in the community on Martin Luther King Day to help honor his legacy of civic engagement. Volunteers will gather at various locations around the city to clean our neighborhoods, read to children, and help decorate little libraries.
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Parade and Celebration
Participating organizations include churches, community groups, local businesses, and sororities for the 2023 parade. The parade represents the six non-violence principles of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. After the parade at 11:30 am, the community is invited to celebrate at Mitchell Moore Park. There will be live music, food trucks, and a kid's zone.

As we commemorate the life and legacy of Martin Luther King Jr., the city of Davie will celebrate with various events on Sunday, January 15th. Some of these include a variety of musical performances, guest speakers, and an announcement of their Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Poetry Contest winners.
