The school year is starting to wind down, and it's time to start planning out summer activities for the kids! When you're not on vacation or seeing friends and family, the kids will need something to keep them busy when they're off of school. We've rounded up a shortlist of summer camps around the Fort Lauderdale area that are perfect for various ages.

Code Ninjas

Code Ninjas is a unique educational program that introduces children to computer programming through a fun and engaging curriculum. The program, geared toward kids ages 5 to 14, is developed by experienced developers. Through this program, kids will be introduced to various subjects such as robotics, app creation, and game development.

NAILED It DIY Studio

The Nailed It® Camp experience aims to create a fun environment where kids can connect with others while developing their creative skills. This year's theme is "Be Your Own Character." During this time, kids can grow in their confidence by recognizing what it means to be themselves. Camps are for children ages eight and up. During the week, campers will be encouraged to explore their creativity and complete various projects. 

Camp Live Oak Teen Eco Experience

This teen program is full of fun activities and fantastic field trips. It's a great way to keep your teen busy during the summer. We also offer a variety of flexible programs to accommodate their schedule. The goal of the Teen Eco Experience is to provide teens with a variety of volunteer work and field trips that are designed to keep them busy. They will be assigned to a group of campers and work alongside college students and teachers to complete outdoor activities.

St. Marks Episcopal School Summer Camp

The goal at Saint Marks is to provide a safe and fun environment where children can develop new skills and learn new things. Each day, they offer a variety of activities that are designed to help them build their confidence and skills. The staff members at Saint Marks have extensive experience working with children. They are screened and trained to ensure that the campers are safe and have a fun summer.

The Humane Society of Broward County

The Humane Society of Broward County offers various day-camps and week-long camps for kids throughout the school year. During our camps, the kids learn how to safely interact with animals and keep themselves safe around them. They also have fun making animal-themed crafts and playing with the animals.

Broward Center for the Performing Arts Summer Theater Camp

Summer Theater Camp is available for children from June 13 to August 19 at various locations in South Florida. The camps are held at the Broward Center, the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center, and Nova Southeastern University's Miniaci Performing Arts Center. The camp aims to provide children with the opportunity to improve their acting, singing, and dancing skills while participating in a theatrical production. The last performance of the camp will be held at the Broward Center. Each camper will receive a t-shirt and a cast photo to celebrate the event.

Lauderdale Yacht Club Summer Sailing Program

The Summer Sailing Program at the LYC is designed to introduce elementary to high school-aged sailors to sailing and seamanship. This program is part of the club's commitment to teaching the community about sailing and the environment.
